Genie Manuals: Where to Find Service, Parts and Operator Manuals (Free)

how-to 5 min read Updated 2026-10-21

Genie publishes its manuals free

Genie (a Terex brand) puts its manuals online at no cost. The support page at genielift.com/en/support/manuals links three libraries on manuals.genielift.com: Genie Service Manuals, Genie Parts Manuals and Genie Operators Manuals. The documents are PDFs you can open without an account.

Find your family, then your model

The service library is organised by product family: generators, light towers, personnel lifts, material lifts, S booms, scissors, telehandlers, towed aerial lifts and Z booms, plus Terex construction and Terex aerials products, translated service manuals, and Genie Lift Connect telematics. Inside each family, every model group (for example GS-2032 / 2632 / 3232) lists its documents with the serial number range each one covers and Genie's part number for the manual.

Match the serial number, not just the model

Genie revises manuals as machines change, so one model can have several manuals for different serial ranges, listed as "from SN ... to ...". Use the manual whose range includes your machine's serial number. On the GS-30m to GS-55 scissors, Genie's 2021 service manual shows the serial label on the chassis and the serial number also stamped on the chassis. The number is read as model, facility code and sequence number, as in GS30P-123456, and the label also lists the year of manufacture and the electrical schematic number.

Other Genie resources on the same page

Genie's support page also links a Serial Number Smart Parts Lookup, maintenance inspection forms, Tech Tips, Technical Service Answers, and a schematics and diagrams quick reference for products built before 2000.

Fault codes

Fault code charts are in the service and repair manuals, and they depend on the control system generation, so use the manual for your serial range. As of October 2026, a standalone reference for the alphanumeric codes on GCON-controlled slab scissors is not listed in Genie's public library.

Third-party copies

Third-party sites repost manufacturer manuals, often older revisions with no way to tell which serial range they cover. We link only the manufacturer's own library, which carries the current revision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Genie manuals free?

Yes. Genie's service, parts and operator's manuals are free PDFs on manuals.genielift.com, linked from genielift.com/en/support/manuals.

Which Genie manual has the fault codes?

The service and repair manual for your model and serial range. Fault code formats differ between control system generations, so match the serial number.

Where is the serial number on a Genie scissor lift?

On the GS-30m to GS-55 models, Genie's service manual shows a serial label on the chassis and the serial number stamped on the chassis. Other models show the location in their own manual.
